Description

1. Product Overview

S53845-2 is an original internal cabinet wiring harness/connector cable exclusively for Motoman XRC controller, matched with PC-20 CPU board, R10092-718 adapter board and RPN710-193A-6-10 terminal block, applicable to UP, SK, EA series welding & handling robots. Original OEM production discontinued; available stock is pre-tested used or refurbished replacement for field maintenance repair.

2. Core Functions

  1. Transmits DC5V bus signal, DC24V power supply, emergency stop & safety interlock signals between PC-20 main CPU and cabinet inner terminal assembly (R10092-718 + RPN710-193A-6-10).

  2. Routes analog control signals to NEW02-2 analog output module and servo command signals toward N2-3 servo interface board.

  3. Connects internal cabinet wiring with external safety circuit and peripheral I/O terminal wiring, centralizes signal transmission of whole rack backplane system.

4. Common Fault Symptoms

  1. Intermittent teach pendant communication failure, random servo OFF alarm caused by aging inner core wire or oxidized plug terminals.

  2. Abnormal analog output of NEW02-2 module leading to welding actuator malfunction due to broken analog signal lines inside the harness.

  3. Unstable emergency stop circuit, frequent E-stop fault alarm from partial wire breakage or poor crimp contact of safety wiring.

5. Replacement & Safety Operation Rules

  1. Cut off robot controller main AC power and wait ≥15min for residual voltage discharge; hot plug/unplug is strictly forbidden.

  2. Mark each connector pin number and terminal wiring position before removing faulty S53845-2, install replacement strictly following original wiring layout.

  3. Complete full wiring restoration, power on sequentially, test single-axis jog movement, peripheral I/O and analog output function after installation.

6. Compatibility Scope

Only compatible with full XRC rack configuration: PC-20+N2-3+NEW02-2+R10092-718+RPN710-193A-6-10; incompatible with NX100/DX100/DX200 and other later Motoman robot controller series.
