N2-3

JANCD-N2-3 is a dedicated servo control interface PCB manufactured by Yaskawa for Motoman XRC robot controller cabinet, matching MYCENTER-0 main communication board and MRY01B-1/MRY01B-2 relay I/O boards in the same rack slot. Original production discontinued; available stock mainly consists of tested refurbished and used replacement boards for industrial robot maintenance. Multiple hardware revisions including REV A, REV B and REV C are common on the market.

Description

1. Product Introduction

2. Main Functions

  1. Realize bus signal conversion between system mainboard and each axis servo drive inside XRC cabinet, transmit position command, speed instruction and servo feedback signal for robot joint axes.

  2. Collect servo fault codes, overcurrent, overload and encoder abnormal signals from each servo unit, upload failure information to MYCENTER-0 board and display corresponding alarm codes on robot teach pendant.

  3. Provide isolation protection between logic circuit and servo power circuit to filter electromagnetic interference generated by servo high-frequency operation.

3. Electrical & Environmental Parameters

  • Working power supply: +5V logic power from backplane, auxiliary DC24V for signal detection circuit

  • Operating ambient temperature: 0℃ ~ +40℃; storage temperature: -20℃ ~ +70℃

  • Humidity range: 10%~80% RH non-condensing; max installation altitude ≤1000m above sea level

  • Approximate net weight: 410g, industrial anti-interference PCB layout design

4. Common Fault Manifestations

  1. Robot reports servo communication error after power-on, single or multiple axes unable to servo-on, usually caused by damaged bus transceiver chip or poor golden finger contact.

  2. Random axis overload alarm during robot running without actual mechanical jam, resulting from aging signal optocoupler or partial circuit open circuit on N2-3 board.

  3. Individual joint axis lost position feedback and trigger servo shutdown alarm due to breakdown of onboard encoder signal processing circuit.

5. Replacement & Safety Operation Rules

  1. Cut off total AC input power of robot control cabinet completely, wait more than 15 minutes for residual electric discharge; hot plugging of N2-3 board is strictly forbidden to avoid damaging backplane and servo driver.

  2. Mark all plug-in cable positions and wiring sequence before disassembly, extract faulty board and install new spare N2-3 into original slot position.

  3. Recover all wiring according to original marks, power on the equipment and perform servo initialization test, single-axis jog test and full-cycle automatic running test to confirm no abnormal alarm.

6. Matching Remarks

N2 series (N2-1/N2-2/N2-3) are exclusive servo interface boards for Motoman XRC robot system, cannot be interchanged with YASNAC CNC machine tool MRY01 series I/O boards.
