2. Core Function

1. Secondary power conversion board inside operator panel unit; converts input DC24V into multiple stable low voltages (5V, ±12V) for CRT display driver, MCP02B-1 main panel PCB and LX-2 keypad circuit.

2. Signal filter & intermediate signal transceiver between cabinet main CPU backplane and front operation panel; stabilizes communication signal for screen and key input.

3. Built-in overcurrent fuse and surge protection circuit for front-panel electric loop.

3. Electrical Parameter

• Input power: DC24V from cabinet control power supply

• Output: DC5V / DC+12V / DC-12V regulated power

• Working ambient: 0℃ ~ +50℃, non-condensing, humidity 10%~85%

• Mounting: Fixed inside rear shell of CRT operation panel, connected via flat ribbon cables to MCP02B-1 board.

4. Typical Failure Symptoms

1. CRT screen flickering, intermittent black screen while cabinet main power stays normal; screen lights occasionally after tapping operation panel.

2. Partial or full keypad dead; some function keys no response due to unstable power from MEW01-1.

3. Recurring low-voltage alarm or panel communication error ALM329 after machine power-on. Root cause mostly aged electrolytic capacitors or blown onboard fuse on this PCB.

5. Replacement & Safety Instruction

1. Cut off total 3-phase AC power of machine, wait minimum 15 mins for residual voltage full discharge before disassembly.

2. Mark all flat cables prior to unplugging, remove fixing screws then swap the board.

3. Strictly restore wiring as marked, power on and verify display brightness and all keypad functions.

4. Hot-plug cables under powered condition is forbidden to avoid permanent burnout of MEW01-1 and linked panel boards.

• JANCU-MEW01-1: CNC machine panel power board for MX2/MX3 (Matsuura MC-760VX usable)

• JANCD-MEW01-1: Yaskawa robot controller board, cannot substitute for CNC panel version.
