JZNCU-MRK09
Available variants include JZNCU-MRK09-1, MRK09-18 and MRK09-19. JZNCU-MRK09 is original Yaskawa backplane baseboard developed for Yasnac MX2, MX3 CNC control systems and legacy Motoman MRC robot controllers. It works together with JZNC-TU series power supply boards such as TU09, TU11, TUII and TU24. This backplane serves as core carrier of system power distribution and parallel communication bus, connecting power module, main CPU board, servo control cards and I/O expansion modules. MRK09-1 is the early version specially applied to MX2 machining center controllers. MRK09-18 is revised with improved anti-interference performance for upgraded MX3 CNC systems. MRK09-19 is the optimized edition mainly used for Motoman MRC robot control cabinets and is the most common version among three variants.
Description
1. Product Overview
2. Mechanical Specification
The backplane adopts integrated structure of zinc-plated metal frame plus multilayer printed circuit board. The overall dimension is 356mm × 171mm × 76mm with approximate net weight of 0.8 kilogram. It is designed with six standard plug-in card slots in total. The first slot is reserved exclusively for TU-series plug-in power supply board, while slots from two to six are available for flexible installation of main CPU board, servo axis control boards and various I/O expansion modules according to actual equipment configuration.
3. Electrical Characteristics
All working voltages including +5V, ±12V and DC24V are provided by TU power board inserted in slot one and transmitted to backplane through gold finger contacts. Thick copper traces on PCB distribute stabilized multi-channel DC power evenly to all six card slots. Dedicated parallel signal bus layout on backplane realizes reliable data communication among all inserted functional boards. Built-in filter circuit helps restrain electromagnetic interference caused by servo startup surge and unstable factory power grid fluctuation to guarantee stable system operation.
4. Compatible Parts
Slot one supports full range of previously listed TU power supply modules including TU09, TU11, TUII and TU24. It is fully compatible with JZNC-RK32 main CPU board, MMI3 and MMI4 servo control boards as well as CPI series I/O expansion cards for Yasnac MX2 and MX3 platform. This backplane can be used on old-type vertical machining centers, CNC lathes and traditional Motoman robot cabinets equipped with corresponding system hardware.
5. Ambient Working Conditions
Continuous operating temperature inside closed control cabinet ranges from zero degree Celsius to fifty-five degree Celsius, and storage temperature after power cut is between minus twenty degree Celsius and seventy degree Celsius. Working relative humidity should keep within 10 percent to 85 percent without condensation. The installation position must avoid oil mist, corrosive gas, heavy dust, intense mechanical vibration and strong electromagnetic radiation generated by welding equipment or high-power inverters.
6. Installation and Replacement Steps
Cut off complete AC power supply of equipment and wait more than ten minutes for residual high voltage discharge from internal capacitors to prevent electric shock risk. Mark slot location of all plugged circuit boards before taking all modules out sequentially from slots. Remove fixing screws of original MRK09 backplane and install new replacement unit onto cabinet mounting base, then fasten all fixing bolts tightly. Insert each functional board back into original marked slots and confirm gold fingers make full contact with backplane terminals. Restore cabinet power and complete power-on test of system display, communication and manual axis jog function before formal production operation.
7. Common Troubleshooting
Whole system no power and operation panel stays dark after power-on: Check input voltage of matched TU power supply and inspect broken power track or damaged copper circuit on backplane. Single inserted board loses power or communication intermittently: Clean oxidized dirt on corresponding slot gold finger or check hidden open circuit on backplane traces. Unstable system operation and frequent random alarm: Confirm loose backplane fixing leading to poor contact or excessive dust and damp inside cabinet causing circuit conduction failure.
8. Safety Instructions
Never plug or unplug any circuit board when cabinet remains powered, as hot plug will produce instantaneous surge voltage and damage backplane and related control boards. All disassembly and maintenance work should be operated by professional technicians familiar with Yasnac MX2/MX3 and Motoman legacy system hardware. Original factory production of JZNCU-MRK09 has been discontinued, and available spare parts in market are mostly tested used or refurbished products for old equipment maintenance.
