JZNC-TUII

JZNC-TUII is a rack plug-in switching power supply designed by Yaskawa Yasnac for legacy LX3 and MX3 CNC control systems. It shares the same rack installation dimension as TU07, TU09 and TU11 series, fitting into JZNC-RK41 and JZNC-RK42 backplane slots to supply multi-channel regulated DC power for the entire control unit including JZNC-RK32 main CPU, servo control boards, I/O modules and JZNC-OP15 / OP16 operator panels. This power unit is a revised upgraded version of original TU11 model, optimized for stable output under fluctuating factory power grid. No separate official manual is issued individually; all technical details are sorted from original Yaskawa system maintenance documentation.

Description

1. General Description

2. Electrical Parameters

The power board accepts single-phase AC200V ±10% input at 50Hz or 60Hz. After internal AC-DC conversion, it provides standard output voltages including ±5V for CPU logic circuits, ±12V for encoder and analog servo circuits, and DC24V for system bus and peripheral signal loops. Its total rated output power is equivalent to standard TU11 specification and satisfies power demand for multi-axis machine configuration with expanded I/O accessories. An input fuse and complete protection circuits for overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit and overheat are built on PCB; the unit will shut down all outputs automatically once abnormal fault appears to prevent cascaded damage of other plug-in control cards on rack.

3. Core Functions

This module converts input alternating current into isolated stable DC power and distributes power to every functional board mounted on RK41 or RK42 backplane through internal bus routing. Onboard EMI filter components suppress surge interference caused by servo start-stop and heavy load cutting fluctuation, stabilizing system working voltage in harsh workshop environment. Independent separated power channels reduce mutual interference among logic, servo and peripheral circuits; single-channel fault will not cause full-system power failure. It can directly replace TU07, TU09 and TU11 without any cabinet wiring modification during on-site maintenance.

4. Compatible Components

It matches JZNC-RK41, JZNC-RK42 backplane rack, JZNC-RK32 main CPU board, MMI3 / MMI4 servo axis boards, CPI series I/O expansion boards and JZNC-OP15, OP16 operator panels of Yasnac LX3 and MX3 CNC platform.

5. Environmental Requirements

Continuous operating temperature ranges from 0℃ to 55℃ inside sealed control cabinet; storage temperature after power off is from -20℃ to 70℃. Working relative humidity keeps between 10% and 85% with no condensation allowed. The installation position must stay away from oil mist, corrosive gas, heavy dust, strong mechanical vibration and high electromagnetic interference from welding equipment or high-power inverters.

6. Installation and Replacement Steps

Cut off total machine AC power completely and wait more than ten minutes for internal capacitor residual high voltage discharge to avoid electric shock risk. Mark the original slot position before pulling out faulty TUII horizontally from rack slot. Insert new replacement board into corresponding slot and ensure full tight contact between gold fingers and backplane pins. After installation, switch on main power and check panel display and system indicator status to verify normal power output before machine trial run.

7. Common Troubleshooting

Operator panel completely dark after power on: check AC200V input voltage and verify blown input fuse or damaged rectifier circuit on PCB. Random power fault alarm or unexpected system restart during operation: inspect aging bulging electrolytic capacitors leading to insufficient 5V or 24V output. Only single control board abnormal while rest system runs normally: check corresponding independent auxiliary power channel failure on TUII board.

8. Safety Instructions

High residual voltage remains inside power circuit long after power shutdown; unauthorized disassembly of internal power components is forbidden. All maintenance work must be performed by professional technicians familiar with Yasnac LX3/MX3 hardware. Original factory production of JZNC-TUII has been discontinued; available spare parts on market are mostly tested used or refurbished modules.
