JZNC-TU24

JZNC-TU24 is original plug-in switching power supply module developed and produced by Yaskawa Yasnac, designed exclusively for Yasnac MX2 series CNC control system, widely equipped on Matsuura MC-760V2 and other vertical machining centers with MX2 controller configuration. It belongs to the extended upgrade model of TU07/TU09/TU11 series power boards, adopting standard rack plug-in structure matching dedicated backplane of MX2 control cabinet, responsible for providing all stabilized DC operating power to main CPU board, servo control cards, rack I/O modules and machine operation display panel of the whole CNC system. The component PCB coding is marked as S46216-1-3-2 for mainstream production batch of TU24 circuit board. Official original production of this model has been fully discontinued by Yaskawa, and available spare parts in market are mostly pre-tested used units or professionally refurbished boards for old CNC equipment maintenance.

Description

1. Basic Introduction

2. Electrical Parameters

The unit accepts single-phase AC 200V input with ±10% tolerance at 50/60Hz industrial power frequency. After built-in high-frequency AC-DC switching conversion circuit, it outputs multiple groups of regulated DC voltages including +5V/-5V for CPU and logic control circuits, +12V/-12V for analog servo and encoder signal processing circuits, and 24V DC for peripheral I/O signal and system bus power supply. Its total rated output power is higher than TU11, suitable for high-spec multi-axis expanded layout of MX2 system with abundant external I/O accessories installed. Complete over-current, over-voltage, short-circuit and overheat protection circuits plus input fuse are integrated on PCB; the power supply will automatically cut off all output once abnormal load occurs to prevent burnout of other expensive plug-in control boards on the rack.

3. Core Functional Features

As the core rack power source for Yasnac MX2 CNC system, this plug-in power module converts industrial AC input into isolated multi-channel stable DC power and distributes power uniformly through backplane bus to all inserted functional control boards. Built-in multi-stage EMI filter circuits effectively suppress voltage surge and electromagnetic interference generated during frequent servo motor startup, rapid axis jogging and heavy cutting load variation, maintaining stable bus voltage under complex workshop power grid fluctuation environment. Independent split power branches are configured for logic circuit and servo peripheral circuits separately; fault of single output channel will not cause full-system power down, greatly improving equipment continuous running stability. It can work independently as the sole system power supply without auxiliary matching of other TU series power boards under standard configuration.

4. Compatible Matching Components

It is specially matched with original dedicated backplane baseboard of Yasnac MX2 control rack, supporting full-series CPU mainboard, axis servo control cards and CPI type I/O expansion modules for MX2 platform. Direct physical replacement can be realized with partial modified version of TU11 after slight cabinet wiring adjustment when upgrading old equipment from MX3 to MX2 system. It perfectly matches original operator panel of MX2 system and peripheral external signal terminal modules equipped on Matsuura, Okuma legacy machining centers.

5. Working Environmental Specifications

Continuous working ambient temperature inside sealed electric control cabinet ranges from 0℃ to 55℃; long-term storage temperature after equipment power-off is from -20℃ to 70℃. Permitted relative humidity of working environment is 10% to 85% without dew condensation or water droplet accumulation. Installation slot must avoid severe oil mist, corrosive chemical gas, dense metal dust, strong mechanical vibration and electromagnetic radiation from nearby welding machines and high-power inverters.

6. Installation & Replacement Procedures

Cut off total main AC power supply of machine cabinet completely and wait at least 15 minutes to release residual high voltage stored inside internal large-capacity electrolytic capacitors for avoiding electric shock hazard. Mark the original rack slot position of faulty TU24 board before horizontally pulling out the defective power card steadily. Insert new spare JZNC-TU24 into the corresponding designated slot and confirm tight full contact between PCB gold fingers and backplane pin terminals. After installation finished, restore main power supply, check onboard indicator lamp status and machine operation panel screen lighting condition, confirm all DC output channels work normally before formal equipment trial operation.

7. Common Fault Troubleshooting

All display indicators on operation panel stay dark after power-on: detect AC200V input power loop voltage and inspect blown onboard input fuse or damaged rectifier components inside power conversion circuit. Sudden random shutdown or system power fault alarm during machining process: check aged bulging electrolytic capacitors on PCB which lead to insufficient drop of 5V or 24V output voltage. Individual servo or I/O board abnormal malfunction while rest system operates normally: troubleshoot corresponding independent auxiliary power channel breakdown on TU24 power board. Excessive overheating of whole power module under loaded working state: check external peripheral short-circuit load or internal aging power switching components.

8. Safety Precautions

High residual voltage remains inside power circuit long after complete power cutoff; non-professional maintenance personnel are forbidden to arbitrarily disassemble sealed internal power components of TU24 module. All replacement, overhaul and repair work must be operated by professional technicians with proficient maintenance experience on Yasnac MX2 CNC hardware structure.
