3. On-Board Connectors & Layout

Connectors (from top to bottom):
  • CN400: Brake Output – to motor brakes (9 axes)

  • CN402: Contactor Interlock Input – safety interlock signal

  • CN403: Brake Power Supply Input – DC24V for brakes

  • CN404: External Power Supply Switch – for brake power switching

  • CN405: Brake Command Input – from main axis board (SRDA-EAXA01)

Components:
  • F1: 3A/250V fuse (brake circuit protection)

  • Relays: 9× brake control relays (one per axis)

  • LEDs: Power ON, Brake Active, Fault

4. Safety Precautions

WARNING
  • Disconnect main power before installation/removal; wait 15 minutes for capacitor discharge.

  • Never release brakes without mechanical support (axis will drop under gravity – crush hazard).

  • Do not connect/disconnect brake cables while power is ON.

  • Ensure proper grounding of board and cabinet.

  • Keep away from water, oil mist, dust, and direct sunlight.

CAUTION
  • Use only JANCD-YBK01-□E replacement; do not substitute other models.

  • Do not bend, drop, or apply excessive force to the PCB.

  • Use a dry lint-free cloth only for cleaning.

5. Installation Procedure

  1. Power OFF: Turn off controller main power; wait 15 minutes.

  2. Cabinet Access: Open front door; locate YBB01/YBB02 backplane slot.

  3. Board Insertion:

    • Align YBK01 with the target slot (usually I/O expansion slot).

    • Push firmly until fully seated (latch clicks).

  4. Cable Connection:

    • CN400 → motor brake cables (9 axes).

    • CN403 → DC24V brake power.

    • CN405 → brake command cable from main axis board.

    • CN402 → contactor interlock (safety circuit).

  5. Close Cabinet: Secure door; restore main power.

  6. Verification: Check “Brake Ready” LED; test brake operation via teach pendant.

6. Replacement Instructions

  1. Backup Data: Save programs, parameters, and system data.

  2. Power OFF: Disconnect main power; wait 15 minutes.

  3. Disconnect Cables: Unplug CN400, CN402, CN403, CN404, CN405.

  4. Remove Old Board: Release latch; pull board straight out.

  5. Install New Board: Follow Section 5 steps 3–4.

  6. Reconnect Cables: Verify correct connector assignment.

  7. Power ON & Test: Check LEDs; perform brake ON/OFF test for all axes.

7. Troubleshooting

Brakes won’t release

  • Check CN403 DC24V input (24V ±10%).

  • Verify F1 fuse continuity (3A).

  • Confirm CN405 brake command signal from main board.

  • Check for loose CN400 brake output cables.

Brakes won’t engage (axis drifts)

  • Verify CN402 interlock signal is closed.

  • Check for stuck relays on YBK01.

  • Confirm no brake coil short circuits.

LED fault indicator ON

  • Inspect for short circuit in brake wiring.

  • Check overcurrent on any axis brake coil.

  • Replace YBK01 if internal relay damage is confirmed.

8. Maintenance

  • 6-Month Inspection: Check connectors for tightness, fuse condition, and dust buildup.

  • Cleaning: Use dry lint-free cloth; avoid touching relay contacts.

  • Connector Care: Clean with contact cleaner if oxidation occurs.

  • Replacement Life: 5–8 years (or immediately if burned, corroded, or relays fail).

9. Compatibility

  • Compatible: DX100/DX200 with YBB01/YBB02 backplanes.

  • Variants:

    • JANCD-YBK01-1E: Standard (6 axes + 3 external)

    • JANCD-YBK01-2E: High-current version (for heavy external axes)

  • Not Compatible: NX100/NX200 (different backplane/slot format).
