Description

1. Overview

  • Type: Boot RAM / system firmware memory PCB

  • Controller: XRC1000, XRC2001 (XRC series only)

  • Function: Stores OS, firmware, boot loader, and system parameters

  • Part number: JANCD-XMM02; common revision JANCD-XMM02-2 (no CNBT connector)

  • Status: Obsolete; available as refurbished/used

2. Key Differences (XMM02 vs XMM01)

  • XMM02: System/boot memory (OS/firmware), fixed size, not user-expandable

  • XMM01: User program memory (4 MB CMOS), for jobs/programs, expandable

  • Both: Installed together in XRC CPU rack (JZNC-XRK01B)

3. Specifications

  • Memory: Boot RAM / firmware storage (non‑user, fixed capacity)

  • Power: 24 VDC ±10% (20.4–28.8 VDC)

  • Current: ~200 mA idle, ~1 A operating

  • Operating temp: 0 °C ~ +40 °C

  • Dimensions: ~100 × 100 × 25 mm

  • Weight: ~40 g

4. LED Indicators

  • PWR (green): 24 VDC OK

  • BOOT (green): Firmware loading normal

  • ALM (red): Boot error, firmware corruption, or bus fault

5. Compatibility & Installation

  • Fits: XRC1000, XRC2001 (XRC series only)

  • Requires: XRC CPU board JANCD-XCP01

  • Installation: Same as XMM01; must install both XMM01 + XMM02 for full system operation

6. Common Issues

  • Boot failure: Red ALM LED; usually caused by faulty XMM02 or corrupted firmware

  • Not user‑replaceable firmware: Requires Yaskawa service to reload OS
