ALM (Red): Lights ON for hardware faults, system errors, or bus communication failures
COM (Yellow): Blinks during Ethernet/serial data transmission/reception
4. Compatibility
Controllers: XRC1000, XRC2001 (standard/extended cabinets)
Backplanes: JANCD-XBB01, JANCD-XBB02 (slot 0 only)
Daughter Cards: XIF03 (Ethernet), XSL02 (arc sensor), XMM01 (memory expansion)
Replacement: Directly interchangeable with JANCD-XCP03-1 (Rev. D); factory part number 142154-5R
5. Installation Steps
Disconnect the controller’s main power and wait ≥5 minutes for capacitor discharge.
Wear an anti-static wristband to prevent ESD damage to components.
Unplug all external cables (Ethernet, serial, power) from the old CPU board.
Remove the old board; align the new XCP03 with slot 0 of the backplane and insert firmly.
Tighten mounting screws; reconnect all cables in sequence.
Restore power; verify PWR ON, RUN flashing, and ALM OFF.
6. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
6.1 Maintenance
Replace the backup lithium battery every 2–3 years to prevent data loss.
Clean dust annually with low-pressure dry compressed air; check connectors for oxidation/looseness.
Inspect CompactFlash storage monthly for file system errors.
6.2 Troubleshooting
ALM ON, RUN not flashing: Check 24VDC at CN1; re-seat the board; test/replace the backup battery.
Ethernet communication failure: Verify cable integrity; re-install the XIF03 daughter card; check network settings.
Program loss after power cycle: Replace the backup battery; restore data from CompactFlash backup.
7. Ordering Information & Warranty
Part Number: JANCD-XCP03 (JANCD-XCP03-1 for Rev. D)
Manufacturer: Yaskawa Electric Motoman Robotics Division
Warranty: 12 months for new units under standard industrial operating conditions
8. Safety Precautions
