4. LED Indicators
PWR (Green): ON when 24 VDC supply is normal
ON (Green): ON when main contactor is energized (closed)
ALM (Red): ON if:
Fuse blown (either 5 A fuse)
E-stop circuit open
Relay coil fault
Main contactor feedback error
5. Installation Procedure
Power OFF the controller and all connected equipment.
Wait 5 minutes for internal capacitors to discharge.
Use an anti-static wristband to prevent ESD damage.
Insert JANCD-TU05 into the designated cabinet slot.
Secure with 4 × M3 screws (torque 0.8–1.0 N·m).
Connect CN1–CN4 per cabinet wiring diagram.
Power ON the controller; verify:
PWR = ON
ON = ON
ALM = OFF
6. Safety Features
Dual 5 A Fuses: Overcurrent protection for control circuits
E-stop Interlock: Complies with Safety Category 3
Relay Isolation: Electrical separation between low-voltage control and power circuits
Fault Alarm: ALM signal sent to controller for diagnostic logging
7. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
7.1 Maintenance
Quarterly: Check connector tightness and fuse condition.
Annually: Clean dust with low-pressure dry air; inspect relay contacts for wear or discoloration.
7.2 Troubleshooting
PWR OFF:
Check 24 VDC supply at CN1 pins 1–2.
Verify CN1 wiring and connector integrity.
ALM ON:
Check both 5 A fuses; replace if blown.
Test E-stop circuit continuity at CN3.
Inspect relay coil and contacts for damage.
ON OFF (PWR ON):
Check main contactor coil resistance.
Verify CN2 connections and coil voltage.
Intermittent Operation:
Inspect connector pins for corrosion or bending.
Check relay contacts for pitting or oxidation.
8. Compatibility & Replacement
Replaces: JANCD-TU02, JANCD-TU02B (wiring changes may be required)
Backward Compatible: JANCD-TU05 REV.C0 directly replaces REV.A / REV.B (no wiring changes)
Applications: Welding, material handling, assembly, general automation
9. Ordering Information
Part Number: JANCD-TU05 (specify revision if required: REV.C0)
Manufacturer: Yaskawa Electric Corporation
Warranty: 12 months under normal operating conditions
10. Warnings
For qualified technical personnel only.
Disconnect all power sources before servicing; wait for capacitor discharge.
Do not modify the board or replace fuses with incorrect ratings (fire/equipment damage risk).
Yaskawa is not liable for improper use, modification, or installation.
