JANCD-NCPO1

JANCD-NCP01 is the main CPU board for Yaskawa Motoman NX100 robot controllers. There is a common revised version named JANCD-NCP01-1. This series has been discontinued, so only used, refurbished or surplus parts are available for maintenance and replacement.

Description

Basic Information

  • Model: JANCD-NCP01 (variant: JANCD-NCP01-1)

  • Manufacturer: Yaskawa Electric / Motoman Robotics

  • Type: Main control CPU board

  • Applicable Device: NX100 robot controller

  • Product Status: Discontinued / EOL

  • Mounting: Slot-mounted on the JANCD-NBB30 backplane

  • Approximate Weight: 0.6 kg

Technical Specifications

It is powered by 24 VDC. Equipped with an industrial high-speed microprocessor, the board features 64 KB ROM and 32 KB RAM with battery-backed memory to preserve user data. It supports multiple communication ports including RS-232C, RS-485 and Ethernet. The operating temperature range is from -20 °C to +60 °C, and it adopts passive heat dissipation without a cooling fan.

Key Functions

It acts as the core control unit to execute robot programs, complete motion planning and process safety logic. It calculates motion trajectories and sends commands to servo units. As a communication hub, it connects with the teach pendant, external PLC, vision systems and other peripherals. The onboard battery keeps programs, system parameters and fault logs from being lost after power cut. It also interacts with the backplane to distribute power and internal signals to other modules.

Compatibility

This board is exclusively designed for NX100 robot controllers and widely used in industrial scenarios such as welding, material handling and equipment assembly. JANCD-NCP01-1 is fully pin-to-pin compatible and can directly replace the standard NCP01. It is not compatible with NXC100, YRC1000 or DX series controllers.

Difference from NCP30 / NCP30B

NCP01 is developed for NX100 controllers with passive cooling and relatively basic performance. NCP30 and NCP30B are dedicated CPU boards for NXC100 controllers, featuring active heat dissipation and stronger processing capability. The three models cannot be interchanged.

Installation & Safety Precautions

Cut off the main power supply and wait for residual electricity to discharge before installation or removal. Wear a grounded ESD wristband all the time to protect sensitive electronic components. Check and replace the backup battery regularly to avoid data loss. All installation, testing and maintenance work must be carried out by qualified professional technicians.
