JANCD-NCP01

JANCD‑NCP01 is the main CPU/control board for the Yaskawa Motoman NX100 robot controller. It executes robot programs, motion control, I/O handling, and system communication. The variant JANCD‑NCP01‑1 is a later, fully compatible revision. Both are discontinued (EOL); only surplus, refurbished, or used units are available for service.

Description

Key Functions

  1. Program Execution: Runs robot teach pendant programs, motion sequences, and logic.

  2. Motion Control: Calculates joint/cartesian trajectories and controls servo drives.

  3. System Management: Manages controller resources, safety interlocks, and error handling.

  4. Communication: Links to teach pendant, host PLC, vision systems, and other peripherals.

  5. Data Storage: Retains user programs, parameters, and logs via battery backup.

Compatibility & Applications

  • Exclusively for Yaskawa NX100 robot controllers (used in welding, material handling, assembly, and general automation).

  • NCP01‑1 is a direct drop‑in replacement for the original NCP01.

  • Not compatible with NXC100, YRC1000, or DX‑series controllers.

Installation & Safety

  • Power Off: Disconnect main power and wait for capacitors to discharge.

  • ESD Protection: Use a grounded anti‑static wristband.

  • Battery Care: Replace backup battery during maintenance to prevent data loss.

  • Qualified Personnel: Installation and programming must be done by certified technicians.
