Description

1. General Description

JANCD-MTV01 is a standard relay output and safety interlock board manufactured by Yaskawa Motoman. It serves as a core I/O interface inside XRC and MRC robot controllers, responsible for switching external loads and processing safety interlock signals. This series is discontinued (EOL), so only used or refurbished units are supplied for on-site maintenance.

2. Basic Information

  • Model: JANCD-MTV01

  • Manufacturer: Yaskawa Electric (Motoman)

  • Type: Relay output & safety interlock board

  • Applicable Equipment: Motoman XRC, MRC robot controllers

  • Status: Discontinued / EOL

  • Common Revision: Rev.D14

  • Approximate Weight: 1.8 kg

3. Technical Specifications

  • Power Supply: 24 VDC (supplied by controller backplane)

  • Output: 5 independent relay channels with separate fuses

  • Relay Form: SPST

  • Wiring Terminal: Spring-cage terminal blocks

  • Operating Temperature: 0 °C to +40 °C

  • Relative Humidity: 5% ~ 80% RH, non-condensing

  • Max Operating Altitude: 1000 m

4. Key Functions

  • Controls 24 VDC peripheral devices such as solenoid valves, contactors and alarm lamps.

  • Transmits and processes emergency stop and safety door interlock signals.

  • Provides electrical isolation between internal control circuits and external field circuits.

  • Built-in fuses on each channel offer short-circuit protection.

5. Model Differences

  • MTV0: Early prototype version, fully pin-to-pin interchangeable with MTV01.

  • MTV01: Mass-production standard version for XRC/MRC systems.

  • MTV02: Upgraded version with higher current capacity and better anti-surge performance, compatible with MTV01.

6. Compatibility

  • Fully compatible with Motoman XRC and MRC robot controllers.

  • Not compatible with DX, FS, YRC series and other non-Yaskawa robot systems.

7. Installation & Safety Rules

  • Power off the entire controller before installation or removal. Hot swapping is not allowed.

  • Use a grounded ESD wristband to protect electronic components from static electricity.

  • Secure the board in the designated card slot and tighten all mounting screws.

  • Separate signal cables from high-voltage power cables to avoid electromagnetic interference.

  • Only qualified professional technicians are permitted to perform installation and maintenance.
