Description
1. General Description
JANCD-MMO244 is a dedicated memory board produced by Yaskawa Electric. It is mainly applied to legacy Motoman robot controllers and Yasnac CNC units, used to store system parameters, user programs and operational runtime data. This product has been officially discontinued. Only used and refurbished units are available for on-site equipment maintenance and replacement.
2. Basic Information
Model: JANCD-MMO244Manufacturer: Yaskawa ElectricProduct Type: Industrial memory PCBApplicable Equipment: Classic Motoman robot controllers and Yasnac CNC systemsProduct Status: Discontinued / EOL
3. Technical Specifications
Memory Type: Volatile CMOS RAMInterface: Controller proprietary internal busPower Supply: 5 VDC from the device backplaneOperating Temperature: 0 °C to +40 °CStorage Temperature: -10 °C to +60 °CRelative Humidity: 5% to 80% RH, condensation is not allowed
4. Key Functions
It stores robot and CNC user programs, motion parameters, tool offset data and I/O configuration information. It cooperates with the main CPU board to ensure stable program operation and data buffering during system running. Since it is volatile memory, all stored data will be cleared after power cut.
5. Compatibility
This board matches early-generation Motoman robot controllers and Yasnac CNC equipment. It cannot be used with XRC, MRC, ERC, DX series robot controllers or other MM series memory boards mentioned before. It is also incompatible with non-Yaskawa industrial control devices.
6. Installation & Safety Precautions
Completely cut off the power supply of the host device before installation or removal. Hot swapping is forbidden. Wear a grounded ESD wristband to avoid static damage to sensitive electronic components. Align the connector and insert the board into the designated slot, then fasten the fixing screws to resist vibration. Keep the board dry and dust-free, and avoid physical impact, oil contamination and corrosive surroundings. Do not disassemble or alter the board structure without permission.
