JANCD‑MIO04(Yaskawa Robot I/O Board)

JANCD‑MIO04 is a 16‑point digital input / 16‑point digital output expansion board for Yaskawa robot controllers (DX100, DX200, YRC1000). It is the upgraded successor to JANCD‑MIO03, with enhanced noise immunity and stability. Board revision is REV.B; weight approx 1.0 kg.

Description

1. Overview

2. Specifications

  • Inputs: 16 channels, 24 VDC, 10 mA typical, sink/source selectable

  • Outputs: 16 channels, 24 VDC, 0.5 A max per channel, NPN/PNP selectable

  • Power supply: 24 VDC ±10%, max 1.5 A

  • Ambient temperature: 0 °C to +55 °C

  • Installation: Inside controller, slot mount

3. Connector Assignment

CN303 – Power and Common

Pin 1: +24 VDC (external power recommended)
Pin 2: 0 V (ground)
Pin 3: COM_IN (input common)
Pin 4: COM_OUT (output common)

CN306 / CN308 / CN309 – Inputs 1–16

Sink mode: COM_IN = +24 V; input ON = 0 V
Source mode: COM_IN = 0 V; input ON = +24 V

CN307 – Outputs 1–16

NPN (sink): COM_OUT = +24 V; output ON = 0 V
PNP (source): COM_OUT = 0 V; output ON = +24 V
Max per channel: 0.5 A; total board max: 1.5 A

4. Installation

  1. Turn off and lock out controller power.

  2. Insert JANCD‑MIO04 into an available I/O slot.

  3. Secure with mounting screws.

  4. Connect CN303 to external 24 VDC for high‑current loads.

  5. Wire input signals to CN306/308/309 and output signals to CN307.

  6. Restore power and configure I/O via teach pendant.

5. Default I/O Addresses

Inputs: 20030–20045 (16 points)
Outputs: 30030–30045 (16 points)
Access path: Teach pendant → System → I/O → Module Setup

6. Safety & Maintenance

  • Always disconnect power before wiring or service.

  • Do not exceed 0.5 A per output or 1.5 A total current.

  • Use shielded cable for signals to reduce noise.

  • Keep ventilation clear; clean dust regularly.

  • Avoid moisture, vibration, and direct sunlight.
